Dragon Feathers Friday,bottega veneta, November 16 and Saturday, November 17: In this stage adaptation of a Bavarian folk tale, Alejandro seeks to win the hand of the lovely Isabella. But first he pluck three golden feathers from the dragon, who lives in a castle in faraway Senegal. His journey introduces him to dances and characters from Spain, Portugal and Morocco in this children's play from community theater Urban Spectrum Theatre.

Saturday, November 17 through December 23: Bachman's might seem like a strange place to catch a holiday show. But for the last two decades, the Minneapolis plant and garden retailer has staged their Santa and Albert the Elf show. Santa is played by professional storyteller Mike Mann. Albert is played by Kevin Dutcher, an actor who also happens to run the music for the Twins ballgames. This year, Albert tries to teach Santa to dance, with unintended results, as a surprise gift for Mrs. Claus. Check out a preview here. The 25 minute show gives the audience a chance to sing carols and take some post show Santa photos. Copplia the Ballet Saturday, November 17 and Sunday,oakley store, November 18: The Continental Ballet presents Coppelia the Magic Doll, a lighthearted and playful ballet about young lovers Swanilda and Franz and the eccentric toymaker, Dr. Copplius. Macy's Santaland Saturday, Nov. 17 through Dec. 24 For the full retail Santa experience, head to the 8th floor of Macy's in downtown Minneapolis. Wander past animated vignettes of elves opening mail, harnessing reindeer and getting ready for Christmas at the North Pole (We know Dayton's fans miss those ever changing holiday displays, but "A Day in the Life of an Elf" arrived in 2008 and is here to stay). Then catch "Moose Crossing," now in its third year. Local puppeteers, Kurt Hunter, Wayne Krefting and others bring Santa and forest critters to life with hand puppets, shadow puppets,polo ralph lauren, and marionettes. Math Science Family Fun Fair Saturday, November 17: Every so often, the University of Minnesota rounds up its instructors and students to host a math and science fair for elementary through high school students. Santa At Mall of America through December 24: Shhh. Don't tell the kids, but there are two Santas at the Mall of America. You can book an appointment with the Professor Bellows Santa here. He's at S146, on the first floor in front of Macy (He's also holding first come, first served pet nights on Dec. 2 and 9 at 7:30 pm). Or you can walk in and wait in line to see the other Santa stationed at the west entrance to Nickelodeon Universe. His schedule is here. Outdoor ice as arrived.
